We are glad you are interested in exploring Saint Patrick School for your child's education. Since 1925 Saint Patrick School has provided a quality, Catholic education in Downtown San Jose. Today this long and rich tradition continues as we offer a learning environment that is nurturing. enriching and challenging for our students.


Starting January 1, 2018 we are accepting applications for the 2018 - 2019 school year.

We are STILL ACCEPTING accepting applications in a few grades for the 2017 - 2018 school year.

Transitional Kindergarten
We accept applications for Transitional Kindergarten. In order to qualify for Transitional Kindergarten children need to be 4 1/2 years old on or before September 1, 2018. Students applying for Transitional Kindergarten will be screened for readiness.

Kindergarten - Eighth Grade

We accept applications for these grades throughout the year.
Children applying for Kindergarten need to be 5 on or before September 1, 2018. Students applying for Kindergarten will be screened for readiness.

Admission Priority

Students will be admitted to St. Patrick School in the following order:

  • Children of families registered at St. Patrick Church that have siblings currently enrolled in St. Patrick School.
  • Children of families who are members of a Catholic parish other than St. Patrick's and who have children currently in St. Patrick School.
  • Children of families registered at St. Patrick Church.
  • Children of families who are not members of any other Catholic parish and who currently have children enrolled in St. Patrick School.
  • Children of families who are members of another Catholic Parish.
  • All others not in categories 1-5.


* Families who previously had children attending St. Patrick School will be given special consideration.
